How to straighten the brass wire to obtain perfect rods
The soft brass wire is supplied in a roll and needs to be straightened for most purposes. The drawing shows how to do the job: one end of the wire in held a vise and the other is held using pliers. Pull in the direction of the arrow with just enough pressure to stretch the wire slightly but not enough to damage it.
